By rail: (SBB CFF FFS) :
From the Swiss-German regions of Switzerland, you can reach Montana travelling via (Lausanne – Sion – Sierre) or via the Lötschberg (Bern – Kandersteg – Goppenstein – Brig – Sierre).
From French-speaking Switzerland, you can reach Montana via the Rhône valley (Lausanne – Sion – Sierre).
From Ticino, take the beautiful Centovalli line (Locarno – Domodossola – Brig – Sierre) to reach the Valais.
The final leg- by bus or funicular:
From Sierre railway station, you can take the funicular (cog-wheel) railway directly up to Montana. The lower station in Sierre is a 5-minute walk from the train station - simply follow the red line marked on the ground from in front of the station, Depending on the season, a shuttle service may also operate between the arrival point in Montana to the centre of the resort.
The funicular runs approximately every 30 minutes. Once in Montana, you can walk to the hotel ( 20 minutes), take a taxi or catch a bus. The bus stops closest to the hotel are either Crans-Montana Ycoor, or Crans-Montana Le Pavillon.
Regular buses also connect Sierre and Crans-Montana ( SMC 421 ) and although the journey is a little longer, you will enjoy different and varied scenery on the ride up to the Haut Plateau! Ask for the Ycoor or Pavillon bus stops.
Arriving by car :
From French-speaking Switzerland, take the A9 motorway towards Sierre. (Lausanne – Sierre. exit Sierre Ouest) From there follow the signs to Crans-Montana
Guests travelling from the Bernese Oberland of Swiss-German parts of Switzerland can reach Crans-Montana via the Lötschberg (Car transport service Kandersteg – Goppenstein) and then via Sierre, or through the Rhône valley motorway network (Bern – Vevey – A9 – Martigny – Sierre nach Montana).
From southern Switzerland or Itlay, access is possible via the Simplon Pass and through the Rhône valley ( Brig, Visp, Sierre ( Exit Sierre ouest and follow the signs to Crans-Montana)
